Climate-friendly food leaders, The Spare Food Co. approached SMAKK to help translate their ethos into a brand campaign and website refresh, positioning the spirit of ‘more’ as an optimistic and viable approach to solving the problem of wasted food in our food system.
The Spare Food Co. doesn’t believe in food waste. They are a chef-founded, chef-crafted solution to our broken food-system, equipped to curb both big appetites, and the big issue of food going to waste. We reimagined their brand identity through the lens of an omni-channel campaign in order to both energize the existing look and feel of the brand and reintroduce their Spare Tonic to consumers in a way that felt bold and fresh. We then applied these creative elements to a new website for them along with improved design, user experience, storytelling and functionality.
The result is a standout celebration of the abundance that exists within the ingredients we already grow and produce, and successfully reconciles Spare Food’s minimalist approach to ingredients and recipes with its maximal, flavor-forward impact.
