  • You’re a storyteller, who takes a thoughtful approach to helping shape a brand’s voice, and strategizes for maximum impact.

  • You have a passion for brands that are better for people and the planet.

  • You love wellness, sustainability, fashion and the new crop of brands disrupting the consumer space by taking on issues across health, safety, wellness, diversity, representation, social, and environmental impact; you know how to help brands navigate this space.

  • You’re well-versed in the mission-driven brand world and understand the multi-facetted storytelling that values-led brands use to differentiate, break through the noise and connect with consumers.

  • You’re unquenchably curious to fully understand the competitive space and unique nuances of client verticals and always on top of the latest content and trends.

  • You like research, audience profiling and uncovering the DNA of a brand, product line or project that drives ideation and leads our collaborative team to creative solutions. 

  • You’re a creative with a knack for adapting your tone and style based on the audience, medium and industry.

  • You’re not a stranger to web and ecommerce experiences, and have partnered with UX and web designers to bring brands to life online.

  • You’re able to strategize, conceptualize, ideate and execute - building brands from the ground up.

  • You’re amazing at selling ideas, whether it’s developing consumer facing work or telling the story of creative and digital to client stakeholders to connect creative with the business case.

  • You’re a collaborative team player who wants to share their ideas and grow their skills.

What You'll Do

Ultimately, everything in this description won’t encapsulate who you are, or what you’ll be able to do here - roles evolve and no one fits in just one box. We’re looking for someone who has felt constrained elsewhere, and wants to realize their potential with a bunch of other ambitious people who give a damn about making good work for good brands doing good. 

But here’s what you’ll do on day 1:

  • You’ll be the creator and guardian of the voice and tone for our brands, ensuring cohesion to their DNA, finding opportunities for them to stand out, ultimately, ideating and writing cross-medium copy for a multitude of D2C brands (beauty, fashion, personal care, wellness, food and bev, tech) and nonprofits solving problems from climate change to social justice.

  • You’ll create brand and marketing strategy, taking the lead in research, and presenting content ideas to clients.

  • You’ll evolve our agency voice, in proposals, web, blogs, social media and more.

  • Develop storytelling and content for social media, copy and content development for email marketing and digital ads.

  • Create the presentation copy and storytelling that sells in ideas to our clients.

Our Must-Haves

  • The ultimate command of the English language 

  • 5+ years of professional writing experience

  • Experience in the consumer brands space with a portfolio that shows messaging development from brand strategy through content and campaign work

  • Nonprofit experience is a plus

  • Agency experience is preferred but if you don’t have it (or any of the above) convince us why you’re still a good fit
